CHATA POD RYSMI‘Chalet under Lynx Peak’, 2250 meters above sea level(pronounced ‘KHA-ta poed REES-mee’) This has the highest location of all chalets, catering mostly to mountain-climbers and hikers with its large common sleeping room. It is open from June to the end of October. The chalet, after avalanche damage in 1999, was partially rebuilt. The re-constructed chalet had been destroyed by an avalanche again on 28 February 2001! Construction of a new chalet, in a safer location, is under consideration.
