Plant life

Some 1,300 plant species make their home in the Tatras. The flowering season, though short, is spectacular, as seen below. Varieties unique to the region, as well as species which have adapted themselves to local conditions, join more common plants.

Many of these are on the list of endangered species. Please note that all plant life in TANAP is protected.
