Therapeutic Centre for Juvenile Tuberculosis and Respiratory Illnesses - Dolny Smokovec

This 230-bed facility lies on the southeastern slopes of the High Tatras. Over 200 days per year are sunny. Centre concentrates on treating respiratory disorders and tuberculosis in children from birth to 18 years of age.

It provides complex medical and preventive care of sick children based on their specialist's recommendation. Treatment is for pulmonary and non-pulmonary tuberculosis; the Centre also conducts differential diagnosis and treats for allergic disorders of the lung and respiratory system.

The focus is primarily on non-specific illnesses, such as genetic (cystic fibrosis), inflammational and allergic.
