Therapeutic treatment centre for respiratory illnesses
Functioning since 1923, this treatment centre initially served chiefly for
pulmonary tuberculosis, at that time a deadly disease.
The therapeutic qualities of the centre are given thanks to its unique
climatic conditions. It serves for treatment as well as diagnosis of various
lung, bronchial and optical illnesses.
Skilled medical personnel guarantee the centre's quality, together with a
well-equipped laboratory with its own cardiopulmonary testing, and
specialised sections in the following areas:
hematological-biochemical
immunoallergic
bronchological
microbiological
Patient lodging is in two- and three-bed rooms with south-facing balconies.
The length of stay tends to be 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the individual's
health condition. Patients may have admitted with them companions, to
be paid by their insurance or themselves, as applicable. The centre
features volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, bowling and billiards, as
well as a library and cinema.
