Specialised Therapeutic Centre for Respiratory Disorders - Tatranska Kotlina

This centre, founded in 1926 to treat tuberculosis, has since 1980 been reoriented toward non-specific respiratory ailments. Its main focus is now on bronchial asthma. For this disorder the centre is particulary suited, with its ideal climate, experienced experts, modernised equipment and high accommodation standard.

A new treatment pavilon opened in 1996 offers 100 beds in single and double rooms, each with individual facilities and south-facing balconies.

Among the therapeutic facilities available is the cave Belianska jaskyna, just 20 minutes' walk. The cave features sterile ventillation, constant air temperature of 5oC, 95% humidity and total absence of allergens. Together, this creates excellent conditions for allergic therapy.
