Spisska Kapitula

Spis church ("Spisska Kapitula")

This is the seat of the Bishop of Spis, the centre of Church administration and is located near to the town of Spisske podhradie. An important part of this religious complex is the Cathedral of St Martin (1245-1275), which is one of the oldest gothic buildings in Slovakia. The Bishop's palace and the clock tower along with the French garden have been reconstructed in the baroque style.
